Annual wrap-up & Looking ahead

I’m running a bit behind on this post, but didn’t want to miss out on saying thanks to all of you that stopped by the Blogger’s Lounge, the Wi-Fi, and any of the CRT sessions/events during the 2008 REALTORS® Conference & Expo in Orlando.  For those of you that could not make it, check out the recap at realtor.org.

Other things that may interest you:

  • During the Sunday, 11/9/08, morning session, Using Social Media to Engage Clients – Dustin Luther, Jeff Turner, and Rudy Bachraty created a LinkedIn group “to discuss how professionals can effectively use social media to engage clients.”
  • The CRT Technology Awards - with this being a time of reflection and giving thanks, think about the REALTORS® around you and the REALTOR® staff that know how to maximize the use of technology and use it successfully to grow the business and/or make life easier for others.  Over the next few months, more details on how to nominate someone will be available here and at www.realtor.org/crt.
  • Smartphones & Real Estate Professionals white paper was available in the bloggers’ lounge. This paper includes findings from an October 2008 CRT survey of random NAR members on their use, perception, and needs when it comes to smartphones.
  • Planning for next year?  Yes, the wheels are already turning on how to make next year even better.  Some of the ideas floating out there are:  Bloggers’ Lounge ‘lab sessions’ on topics like Twitter, Flickr, etc. (daily intro and advanced sessions would culminate in a meet-up-session at the end of each  day); and real time video shoots.  The goal is to provide a place where ideas flow freely and we can learn from each other.  Share your ideas for CRT lab sessions and/or other ideas CRT should consider for next year.

Finally, Thanks to each one of you for subscribing to & reading the CRT blog!  Have a happy & safe Thanksgiving Holiday.
