I haven’t had much time to tinker, play, drool, or ponder - but A little over a week ago the Houston Association of REALTORS launched their new site. I continue to use them as the poster child for what I would love to see occur across the country. HAR is leveraging themselves as a marketing venue for their members, as opposed to simply just a facilitator for the exchange of listing compensation/policy info between their members.
I salute you HAR. I’d love to pick the brain of some of the technology brain trust that is helping to guide them as an organization - as well as the worker bees bringing this to reality.

Sometimes you take you blessings for granted. As a HAR member, we in Houston have to wonder how do our colleagues do business any other way? We constantly get calls/emails from consumers about a house, saw it on HAR, MLS # is xxxxxxx. Here’s the point: we get almost as many inquiries about co-op listings as our own due to the built-in IDX feed linked in our websites.
I wish NVAR was more like HAR. Bob Hale is my idol.
I saw him speak at a Future of the MLS event and he was brilliant.
The funny part was his “brilliance” was “logical.” It was more like he was “normal” while everyone else was clueless.
