While at convention, it is important to know if that person standing next to you may be the President of the Association or even if it is the guy that pays the bills around here! As a visual aide, CRT whipped together a little map displaying the Leadership Teams hometowns and their bio.

This is a good example as to how almost every piece of data is somehow tied to spatial coordinates - or simply can fit someplace on a map. In fact, I think I have heard talk of 3 other projects snowballing from my tinkering. That’s what they call scope creep!
So if you can map people, and that makes sense..what else could be a good candidate for mapping? Come on, I hope everyone reading this now knows the answer to that!
Real Estate and maps — who would have thought? I still recall the day when the concept for searching for houses or displaying houses through a mappable representation hit me like a ton of bricks. Why exactly did it take 2 years of me being in the industry before that revelation hit? Not too much other data can compare to the geographical importance of real estate.
Since then, mapping technologies and real estate implementations have pretty much formed a life long relationship. People are continually finding better ways to implement the two, as more feedback is coming from the end users on how they are using the tools to enhance their search.
Mapping - its only just begun, and we have already pushed the industries technology 100 fold!
