In honor of the 100th year of one the most (if not THE MOST) profound theory in all of science (and no I’m not talking about the Theory of Evolution), I have decided to promote a scientific theory developed here at the Center for REALTOR® Technology (CRT). It is the Special Theory of the “Nine-Month Rule. This theory (actually derived by my esteemed colleagues here at the Center) states that our technology ideas are violently opposed for nine months. However, at the end of this period the ideas begin to take hold.
This reaction closely parallels the saga of the famous theory (have you guessed it yet?) I referred to above. The Special Theory of Relativity was published by Albert Einstein in 1905 and the General Theory of Relativity 10 years later in 1915. Both theories were met with extreme skepticism as they overturned centuries of scientific thought based on Newtonian physics (yes the guy who had the apple fall on his head). The speed of light being constant, no preferred frame of reference, the effect of gravity on mass and light, the list goes on. The skepticism was derived from the fact that Einstein’s theories were purely mathematical. In other words no scientific experiment had been performed that could verify his claims.
That all changed in 1919 when Sir Arthur Eddington lead an expedition to verify predictions made by the theory against astronomical measurements of the solar eclipse that occurred that year. The predications and measurements were consistent, well within the scientific margin of error. After the results were published Einstein was asked how he would have felt if the measurements had not corroborated the predications of his theory. Einstein replied (I’m paraphrasing), “I would have had pity for our Lord because my theory is correct. How’s that for confidence!
So in solidarity with Einstein, and in celebration of the 100th year of the publication of some of the most profound scientific theories in history, we in CRT will stand steadfastly behind our Special Theory of the “Nine-Month Rule. And if we’re asked what we think of anyone who disagrees with us, well please click this link to see our response.

Rumor has it this blog is not interactive, that there is no provision for comments. I believe this is because it says “No Comments” at the end of the blog. This is a test to prove that when I post a comment, through the “No Comments” link, that comments will appear. Testing… testing… testing.
Carol,
Thanks for demonstrating that “comment” functional is alive and well, and KUDOs to NAR, Mark and his forward thinking team at the CRT on their new blog. I look forward to being a regular reader.

It says “No comments” when no one has actually posted any comments. Maybe we need to change that to “zero comments” to clear up the confusion. Any ideas?
Most blogs do show “O” comments before comments are posted, and I think that is what people are used to. Would probably remove any confusion.
